In a partnership to expand market presence, Microsoft invests in Sachin Dev Duggal's Builder.ai

Microsoft has made a sizeable investment in Builder.ai, a premier AI-powered software development platform, in a move that shows its commitment to technological innovation and global expansion. The investment is aiming to make software development accessible to non-tech users. Sachin Dev Duggal is the founder and CEO of Builder.ai, which is a software development platform that runs on a no-code technology, it offers its no-code app development technology to growing businesses and believes in technology for all without the need for technical knowledge.  

The partnership will allow Microsoft to expand its offerings for Small and Medium-sized Business (SMB) and micro-SMB customers. However, the term of the investment is not yet disclosed by the company. Expressing views on Microsoft’s partnership with Builder.ai Sachin Duggal said, “This will be a 36–48-month rollout and will let the next 100 million ideas become digitally native”. This depicts the holistic intention of the deal as it is aimed at making technology or software feasible and simple for everyone.    

Builder.ai is a platform driven by artificial intelligence that makes it possible to create software more quickly and affordably without any specialized knowledge. The Microsoft Cloud and AI, Teams, Azure OpenAI Service, and Azure Cognitive Services are just a few of the products that will integrate Builder.ai. One hundred million ideas will be able to become digital natives during the 36–48-month implementation. Additionally, Builder.ai will give organizations integrated access to Azure cloud services.  

According to Sachin Dev Duggal, and other digital platforms such as cloud services on Azure (payments, infrastructure, messaging, etc.) will be enhanced by the collaboration of Microsoft and Builder.ai.  

“This partnership will give us access to markets where we don’t have a strong presence,” said Sangeeta Bavi, executive director- Digital Natives at Microsoft.

Builder.ai democratizes software development by simplifying the process with AI-driven tools and pre-built components, aligning with Microsoft's vision of empowering individuals and organizations to achieve more through technology.
